Silent Surfers inspire others at Jacksonville Beach

First Coast News posted a great story today about Silent Surfers. TSG highly recommends reading this story and sharing it with the rest of the world. It is very rare for children who are deaf/hard of hearing to try to attempt to learn how to surf. Thus, this story is a great story of how dozen of local children who are deaf and or blind from Florida are attempting to learn how to surf.

TSG favorite quote from this story:

It was Sophia’s first time on the water.
“I felt a little awkward when I first came out but then I felt happy that I tried and I am really happy…I am just really happy that I tried,” said Sophia.
