The Rotary Club of Annapolis will announce the recipient of its annual Service Above Self award during their meeting at noon May 5 at the Annapolis Yacht Club, 12 Dock Street. The Service Above Self Award is Rotary International’s highest honor for non-Rotarians, recognizing those who have displayed exemplary humanitarian service, at any level and in any form, with a focus on active involvement in helping others on a continuing basis. The recipients also are named Paul Harris Fellows, created to honor the founder of Rotary International, with the funds donated to their organizations.

Remembering Mothers Tea
The annual Remembering Mothers Tea hosted by Chesapeake Life Center, a program service of Hospice of the Chesapeake, will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. May 5 in the conference center of the John & Cathy Belcher Campus, 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena. Women and girls ages 12 and older who are grieving the loss of a mother or grandmother are invited to participate in this reflective and supportive gathering.
The cost is $10 and includes tea and finger sandwiches. Advance registration is required.

Unwind in the Vines
Junior League of Annapolis, Inc. will host its Unwind in the Vines event from 5 to 9 p.m. May 6 at Great Frogs Winery, 3218 Harness Creek Road. This event is an exclusive dinner and wine tasting with live music and lawn games.
Open to adults 21 and over, the proceeds from this event will benefit the community programs of Junior League. People are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to enjoy the event outside.
Estate tickets are $99 and include a bottle of Great Frogs Estate wine. Reserve tickets are $109 and include a bottle of Reserve wine. All tickets will include dinner, a wine tasting, entertainment and a complimentary wine glass.

The Quaker Spring Market will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 7 at Annapolis Friends Meetinghouse, 351 DuBois Road. This is an indoor event so it will be held rain or shine.
