Team Bruno is giving the some hot same-sex action on stage.

ABC’s Dancing with the Star introduced same-sex dancing to its global audience for the first time on Monday night.

This week, the dance competition featured a special ‘Judges’ Team-Up Challenge’ segment where two celebrities and their dance partners were coached by one of the show’s judges.

Judge Bruno Tonioli, Italian choreographer and dancer, put together Team Bruno, picking top model Nyle DiMarco and his partner, Peta Murgatroyd, along with ‘Full House’ actress, Jodie Sweetin and her partner Keo Motsepe, to perform a dramatic Argentine tango routine set to music from the opera classic, ‘Carmen.’

Viewers saw Murgatroyd and Sweetin hooked their arms around each other’s neck, with their faces only inches away as they locked in eye contact.

The ladies swirled around on the centerstage before parting to give the spotlight to DiMarco and Motsepe, who immediately held hands and put their arms on each other’s naked upper body.

At one point, Keo even lifted Nyle off the floor and the pair spun around on stage gracefully.

Tonioli, who is gay and has previously spoken up about being bullied as a gay youth, was very pleased with his team’s performance, saying, ‘You gave a message that is very important.’

Judge Len Goodman praised Tonioli for his risk-taking: ‘I loved Bruno’s bravery, getting the two couples to switch.’

Carrie Ann Inaba, also on the judging panel, described the performance as ‘super sexy.’

Team Bruno received 10 points each from Inaba and Goodman. With America giving a 9, the group got 29 out of 30 points.

Sweetin described the switch-up in the group’s routine as amazing and fun, reports Fox411.

‘We pushed some boundaries that have never been done on Dancing With the Stars and I think we did it in a really beautiful, amazing way and people were really excited about it,’ Sweetin said. ‘It was fun to be part of something like that.’

Murgatroyd agreed with Sweetin that dancing with a same-sex parter is fun, and wondered if the show might have a theme week for same-sex dancing in the future.

‘Maybe having one week on the show [that] is same-sex couples? I don’t know what dancing ABC is ready for but I think it’s fun,’ she said.

Motsepe shared that he enjoyed working with DiMarco: ‘He’s a good dancer and I think dancing with Nyle today just pushed boundaries on the show. I think we can try other things and this is the first one.’

On what it’s like to be carried by Motsepe, DiMarco told Fox411: ‘Well, it’s a different experience. Usually I’m lifting Peta but… should it only be for a woman? Maybe Peta can lift me at some stage?’
