DCARA: Marea Housing Accepting Applications

Hey everyone! It’s Jennifer here. I’m back with exciting news-

Bridge Housing is now accepting completed pre-applications now for the Marea Alta! Marea Alta has 115 units full of studio, one, two, and three-bedroom apartments. This is for the low income population including disabled people, senior citizens and family. Marea Alta will offer onsite laundry, a community room with a full kitchen, children’s play area, outdoor courtyard, bicycle storage room, and onsite maintenance.

Do you want to live here? YES?! Great! What are the requirements?

You must live OR work in San Leandro.

See those areas? If you live in one of those areas, they will not accept your applications.

They will ask for proof that you do live/work in San Leandro with your driver’s license, utility bill, lease agreement, etc. showing current San Leandro address.

Fill the application at http://bridgehousing.com/PDFs/Marea_Alta_Pre-App_Packet.pdf and mail it to 1400 San Leandro Blvd, San Leandro, CA 94577 or contact me to assist you with the process. The deadline to hand the application in is MAY 13TH!!!

Once you mail the application in, it will take six weeks and you will receive a lottery number in the mail. Whoever has number 1-1000, will move on to the next stage in the process. If you get a number over 1000, you will be notified and your pre-application will not be accepted.

If you are curious to see what other rental opportunities are there- go to this website, www.bridgehousing.com and click “Our properties” then click “Rental Opportunities”.

I will do a follow up VLOG again in six weeks to explain the process for those who got lottery number between 1 and 1000. Good luck and again, the deadline is when?! Right, May 13th.
