Def Leppard to take photo op for school

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) — Just over 24 hours from now, the rock band Def Leppard will perform at Verizon Arena, and they’re already planning on making a special trip for a Little Rock school.

Def Leppard is going to take a photo for the Arkansas School for the Deaf. The connection here, as you might know, the school’s mascot is the ‘Deaf Leopards.’

Weeks ago, a petition started circulating asking the band to swing by the school’s football field for a photo op.

Since the band won’t be in until late, the school is making a replica scoreboard for the photo.

Coach Rick Porter says they’re all thrilled.

“A lot of times I’ll plug in my phone with a little speaker box in the locker room when they’re getting dressed for the games. And put Def Leppard on just to play on it. One like the music. And we have some kids with residual hearing and they enjoy it as well.”
