Gallaudet women's soccer announce 2016 schedule

WASHINGTON – The Gallaudet University women’s soccer program officially released its schedule for fall 2016 as announced by head coach Liza Offreda, who enters her third season at the helm. The Bison went 3-16 last season and 1-11 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play. The 2016 slate features 17 games with nine at home, three of those games will be on Hoy Field, and eight on the road.

Gallaudet will be begin the season on the road in Baltimore when the Bison face Notre Dame of Maryland University on Friday, Sept. 2. The Bison return home the following week for their home/conference opener against Wilson College on Saturday, Sept. 10. GU turns around to host Mary Baldwin College in a non-conference game the next day before hitting the road for three straight NEAC games.

The Bison return to Hotchkiss Field on Sept. 25 to host Penn College and Marymount (Va.) University on Sept. 28.

GU continues its four-game homestand with two weekend NEAC games against Keuka College (Oct. 1) and Wells College (Oct. 2). The buff and blue then hit the road for two away games in Pennsylvania before returning home on Oct. 15-16 to host Morrisville State College and Cazenovia College, respectively. The Bison head to New York on their final road trip of the season with two NEAC games on Oct. 22-23 before returning home for Homecoming and Senior Night on Friday, Oct. 28, under the lights against Trinity Washington University at 7 p.m.

The NEAC tournament will begin with quarterfinals on Nov. 2, followed by semifinals on Nov. 4 and the NEAC championship match on Nov. 5.
