Regional DHH office seeking donations

Dear Editor,

the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (NCDHH) works in collaboration with the Barkley Memorial Center at the University of Nebraska Lincoln Speech and Hearing Clinic, Sertoma, Lions Club International and HearU Nebraska to provide new or refurbished hearing aids to individuals who are not able to obtain them through traditional audiologist appointments.

Recently we have seen an increase in the number of applicants who require hearing technology.  At the same time, we are also experiencing a severe shortage of hearing aid and financial donations.  Without these valuable donations, we are unable to provide the gift of hearing to those who desperately need it.  Please consider donating unused new or old hearing aids.  We accept hearing aids of any age and in any condition, working or not.  A donation of hearing aids or funds for the bank is tax deductible.  Receipts will be provided, if requested.

Donations can be mailed to my office in Scottsbluff, to the NCDHH Lincoln Office at 4600 Valley Road, Suite 420, Lincoln, NE 68510 or to the UNL-Speech and Hearing Clinic.  I am also available to pick up the donations if needed.

I can be contacted at my office by calling (308) 633-3751 or (800) 545-6244 or email:  My office address is 505A Broadway Ste. 1100 Scottsbluff, NE 69361.  If you would like more information on this program, our website is:
