At the 2016 CoSIDA Convention in Dallas (June 12-15), Atkinson will serve as a panelist and was on the NCAA Divisional Day planning committee for Division III for a second consecutive year.
“It is a honor to represent Gallaudet University at the annual CoSIDA Convention and serving on the CoSIDA Board has been a great experience in helping to raise the profile of the sports information profession,” said Atkinson.
On Sunday, June 12, Atkinson will join ESPN Senior Public Relations Director Keri Potts along with Whittier College Assistant Athletic Director for Communications Lance Franey on stage for a panel discussing “Professional and Personal Branding.”
On Monday, June 13, Atkinson helped to organize NCAA Division III’s panel on Social Media featuring Sports Information Directors from Bethel College, College of Brockport, East Texas Baptist University and Loras College.
