ASL Classifiers: Baby Steps “How to Brush Teeth”

“Baby Steps: Teach 5 years old boy how to brush teeth”. My sample ASL teaching video. This is for an advanced ASL (3 or above) and one of my favorite lessons which I always do this every year. I always use the same procedures of activity, but different theme lessons of “Baby Steps” (How to ride a bike, how to eat the food, etc.,). The concept of design for this lesson was based on Bloom’s Taxonomy Questions approach and at the same time hitting most of the ASL grammar features such as following: Wh-questions, various types of classifier, descriptions, sign space & location, role shifting, eye gaze, temporal aspects, AGE=, lexicalized F-S and use of facial expression & mouth morphemes.

TSG Mission: to serve our viewers by providing reliable, valuable, and important Deaf community oriented information in every newcast.
