TRANSCRIPT: Hello everyone! We’re less than a week away from our Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind Legislative Day. Just one week! I’m sure you’re excited to come, but here are some tips if you plan on traveling out here to the Capitol. Carpooling is a great way to save gas. Don’t forget to bring change if you end up driving to the Capitol. You’ll need that change to feed the meters here at the Capitol. If you can’t carpool there are other options. There is an Amtrak station very close to the Capitol within walking distance. There is an Amtrak station very close to the Capitol within walking distance. Amtrak also has discounted rates for those who are deaf and hard of hearing. When meeting with your legislator, it’s best to be prepared in advance. You want to know the name of your legislator and also make sure that you have an appointment in the afternoon, if possible. We want to make sure that you have quick and efficient meetings.
