LEADERSHIP
The WFD would like to announce the appointment of Ms Eeva Tupi to the position of interim Team Leader as she continues the work of Ms Meri Hyrske-Fischer. Ms Fischer’s last day with the WFD Secretariat will be on 12 March 2018. Ms Tupi will conclude her previous role of Human Rights Officer at the end of March, and will serve in her new role from 1 April to 30 June 2018.

Ms Hyrske-Fischer has been with the WFD for 10 years and has served in various roles, most recently as Team Leader for the past 6 years. We wish her success as she pursues new opportunities.

FUNDRAISING AND COMMUNICATIONS
The role of Development Officer has also changed to become the Fundraising and Communications Officer to meet the evolving needs of the WFD. Additionally, the WFD welcomes Ms Stephanie DeMeyer from Rockwall, TX, USA, to the WFD Secretariat as a Media and Communications Intern.

PROJECT AND FELLOWSHIP
Additionally, we would like to take this opportunity to extend deep appreciation to Ms Megan Youngs (Project Officer for the Maghreb Region) and Mr Daniel Ocampo’s (WFD-IDA Fellowship) who have recently ended their respective projects at the WFD. We wish them the best in their future endeavors.
