Intro: Jamie is walking through what you would imagine CandyLand would be like. It’s raining gumdrops. The rushing river is drinkable and delicious. This place grows candy and ice cream from the ground. Wouldn’t you want that to be real?
What if?: (Erin) You walk in a grocery store looking for organic brown sugar. You ask a store clerk where it is. The clerk tells you where in ASL. You find it easily. Or if you go to the bank to get a home loan. You tell the banker your story and you get approved on the spot. Of maybe you have a car that has a peculiar and particular problem that needs to be fixed. You tell the mechanic and it gets fixed immediately. How cool would it be if all is communicated in ASL? Would you want that?
(Erin and Jamie) It may be a dream but such experiences exist at Grossmont College. When? April 21st. Mark your calendars. Where exactly? inside the Griffin Center (cafeteria). Time? from 1 to 3 pm, everything is reversed where you get to experience a world entirely in ASL. Parking and Admission are both FREE. everything is FREE, plus there are some surprises. All levels are welcome including new signers, non-signers, and even native signers. If you do not want to miss out on Deaf Deaf World, save April 21st from 1 to 3 pm. We will see you there!
