What is a performance artist? Tell us about the ranges of work you do?

What is your best performance that you’re proud of so far?
My show at RID conference in San Francisco back in 2007 was one of the best shows I have ever done. There were about 1,500 people and when I received a standing ovation, I remember feeling so proud of myself because I saw that my dream was finally realized. It was the best feeling ever.
If you could give a young performance artist advice based on your experiences so far, what would you recommend that he/she should do?
Start listening to your heart… ask yourself hard questions such as: What is your passion? Why do you want to do this? What kind of message do you want to share with the world? What is your motivation? Are you prepared to work hard for it? Once you get the answers to those questions, you’ll find your way.
What are your future plans?
To continue being a mother to my two young kids, Jace and Nuria. I am also hoping to kick off my new and improved one woman show as well as publishing a follow-up DVD/webisodes of my show. Lastly, I would like to see KISSFIST Magazine in which I am a managing editor for to expand/grow so that we can reach out to more people around the world.
