Be inspired! Wine salesman to go deaf-blind for half-marathon!

Read Time:1 Minute, 3 Second

[Via thisistotalessex.com]: A WINE salesman will run a half marathon blindfolded and with his ears blocked with only his wife as a guide.

Rob Britten, 31, of Chelmsford, will run the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon in London in October with wife Kate, 32, acting as his eyes and ears to raise money for the national deaf-blind charity Sense.

“I ran the Lochness Marathon last year, and while Rob was waiting for me to finish he saw someone running with their eyes covered. He thought it was brilliant, so he decided to take it a step further and cover his ears too,” said Kate, who works at a school for deaf children.

The couple have friends who have deaf-blind children which also inspired them to take on the challenge to raise awareness of deaf-blindness.
