On April 7, 2014, researchers disclosed a vulnerability in a technology called OpenSSL that powers encryption across much of the internet. The vulnerability is commonly known as the “Heartbleed Virus.”
The virus has spread to 70% of internet in the world.

How did the virus impact us?

passwords, credit cards information, emails- many internet servers how do they protect our information?

Most of them use one system called OpenSSL, and what does SSL stand for?

It’s short for Secure Socket Layers, and it’s responible for making the data information harder to read and steal, which is encryption

So these servers that use OpenSSL were impacted by the HeartBleed virus

for the past two years, that mean an possible attacker has harvested information from sites

Because the virus is difficult to track, we can’t know how many information has been stolen, or we can’t catch the people that has been stealing them

Now, how can you protect yourself from this virus?

Almost all servers that were affected were already repaired to protect from the virus

I have few suggestions that can help you protect yourself from this virus:

Such as change your passwords for sites that really matter to you
