Brian Strother of RIT/NTID passes away.

TSG has been recently informed that Brian Strother of RIT/NTID has passed away today on Martin Luther King’s Day of cancer. As of right now, there is not enough information to speculate on what kind of cancer and we would like to respect the privacy of Brian’s family and friends. Brian is well-known in the Deaf Community because of his commitment to the acting community as well as his involvement in the Liberian-American Deaf Association.

Brian was the first President of the Liberian-American Deaf Association.  

Brian was born from Monrovia, Liberia. He attended college at RIT where he studied Travel Management and California State University at Northridge.

TSG is waiting for further comments from RIT/NTID as well as from family members and friends about more information about Brian’s death.

These are the final and official dates for the memorial service: The wake is on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015 at 6pm. The funeral is on Wednesday, February 4th, 2015 at 11am.
