DeafNation has reached out to TSG to inform us that DeafNation will be presenting a free documentary screening on May 6th, 2015 called, “No Barriers with Joel Barish: Havana Cuba“. According to their press release, the U.S. Government has already started to lift the travel restrictions to Cuba, which has been in effect for over 50 years. Joel, an avid traveler who traveled to over 80 countries around the world, felt his visit to Cuba is:

“so unlike other countries he’ve seen before and that inspired him to create the special edition of his popular show, “No Barriers with Joel Barish” to share his firsthand and in-depth experience with the community.”

The showing will be hosted at Texas School for the Deaf Auditorium ( 1102 S. Congress Ave.  Austin, TX 78704), which Joel Barish and Andres Otalora, will be sharing their experiences as well as their free documentary screening “No Barriers with Joel Barish: Havana Cuba” on Thursday, May 6th, 2015 @ 5 p.m. and the screening starts @ 7 p.m. Free Cuban food will be on sale from 5 p.m. to 6:15 p.m, in which, all proceeds will go toward the International Studies program/trip to Cuba in 2016 at Texas School for the Deaf.
