Hot Wheelz – RIT’s All-Female Electric Race Car Team

RIT Hot Wheelz Formula SAE Electric Team, is a group of undergraduate women engineering students from the Kate Gleason College of Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology. They have come together to form a team of innovative and creative race enthusiasts.

They are getting ready to take their skills to the next level by getting involved in a more rigorous competition. They will spend a total of two years designing and building a Formula Electric car from the ground up. In May 2016, they will compete in the Formula Hybrid (Electric Only Category) event in Loudon, NH. (

​The unique team fosters an environment of learning and teaching, where members have the opportunity to try something new every meeting, and mentorship is highly encouraged.
