The Dancing With the Stars injuries keep on coming. Jodie Sweetin is the latest to hurt herself during rehearsals for the ABC reality dance competition. The Fuller House star was taken to a hospital after injury her ankle during rehearsals with pro partner Keo Motsepe, E! News has learned.
A spokesperson for Sweetin told E! News the actress is waiting for her diagnosis. “Earlier today, Jodie Sweetin injured her left foot during rehearsals for Dancing with Stars,” her spokesperson said in a statement. “She was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and she is awaiting her official diagnosis. She is in good spirits while she waits and Keo, along with her fiancee Justin Hodak, are by her side.”
Sweetin’s injury is just the latest for the season 22 cast. Earlier this season America’s Next Top Model winner Nyle DiMarco received stitches for a cut sustained and professional dancer Mark Ballas injured his back while rehearsing with pro fighter partner Paige VanZant. DiMarco was able to perform after his, but Ballas sat a week out to recover from the injury.
During her time on the show, Sweetin’s Fuller House sister Candace Cameron Bure suffered an injury as well. In season 18 she snapped a photo of her foot and ankle wrapped pretty tightly and said, “Great way to start off my day!! Don’t worry, it looks worse than it is…. Unless it’s not. X-ray tomorrow!” She was able to perform and ended up coming in third place in the overall competition.
Last week Sweetin was partnered with Val Chmerkovskiy as part of Switch-Up week. The two did the Paso double to “Under Control” by Calvin Harris and Alesso feat. Hurts. They received three nines and an eight, bringing their overall score to a 35.
