Hearing loss

Regarding the riding on sidewalks letter from Dennis Wichterman, he refers to the hard of hearing as senile.

I suffer from hearing loss, some believed related to combat service, but I assure you I am far from senile.

If you must ride on sidewalks where I am taking my daily walks please slow down as you approach me from behind, and I will do my best to get out of your way.
