If you, a friend, or a family member struggles to communicate with others,
there’s a free event happening today that might help.
Blue Ridge Neighbors is hosting a free open house at the Roanoke Valley Speech and Hearing Center titled “Communication Success Through Technology.”
It’s happening Friday from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m.
It’s a chance for anyone who is deaf, hard of hearing, has low vision or speech problems to learn about available community resources and new technologies that can improve their communication.
Representatives will also be on hand from Virginia’s Technology Assistance Program and iCanConnect. Both programs provide no-cost communications equipment to qualified applicants.
Sign language interpreters will also be provided at the event.
SG Mission: to serve our viewers by providing reliable, valuable, and important Deaf community oriented information in every newcast.
