WASHINGTON – The Gallaudet University softball team will be participating in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) “StrikeOut Cancer” program this Tuesday, April 19, when the Bison host Wilson College for two conference games. The first game will get underway at the GU Softball Complex at 4 p.m.

The team is proud to announce special guest Natalie Grindstaff, a breast cancer survivor, will throw out the first pitch of the game to her daughter, senior Raquel Grindstaff (New Market, Md.).

Fans are encouraged to wear something pink to show their support at the games. Donations will be collected during the games with proceeds going to the American Breast Cancer Foundation. The softball team will also be selling special pink t-shirts at the game with all proceeds being donated. Monetary donations can be made by visiting www.abcf.org.
