Katie LeClerc Greer, an expert on Internet safety for parents and children, will be a guest speaker at 6:30 p.m. May 9 at The Sage School, 171 Mechanic St., Foxborough.
“We are thrilled to host Ms. Greer and to invite our friends in the community to join us for this informative evening,“ said Marie Leary, interim head of the school. “Her expertise and vast background in this important area will be beneficial to so many families who appreciate the convenience technology offers but understands the dangers it can also present to parents of elementary and middle school ages.”
Greer’s presentation will be specifically designed for elementary and middle school students. A few of the topics included will be: social networking, digital tattoos/footprints, safety and interactive gaming, and cell phones/smartphones/devices.
“Ms. Greer will help parents navigate the digital ‘waters’ and let parents know what’s new, what’s now, and what’s next when it comes to your children and technology, and provides parents with proactive initiatives to keep kids safe,” added Leary.
The evening will conclude with a Q&A session.
