Nyle DiMarco hot-stepped his way onto the US version of Strictly Come Dancing after winning the final season of Tyra Banks’ America’s Next Top Model.
The model is partnered with professional dancer Peta Murgatroyd and is the second deaf contestant to be on the show.
But in the Judges’ Team Up Challenge, Bruno Tonioli paired Nyle and Peta with actress Jodie Sweetin and Keo Motsepe.
The dancers normally swap partners during the performance, but this time professional dancer Keo grabbed Nyle for a shirtless Argentinian Tango.
South African Keo even managed to lift buff Nyle, much to the audience’s pleasure.
The 27-year-old – who communicates with American Sign Language and an interpreter – said to the cameras: “This is a Dancing With The Stars first, having same-sex dancing.”
And, when asked about being lifted, he added: “Well, it’s a different experience. Usually I’m lifting Peta but… should it only be for a woman? Maybe Peta can list me at some stage?”
Nyle’s partner Peta also danced with Jodie Sweetin, though didn’t get nearly as many cheers as the two male dancers.
The switched routine wasn’t enough to save Jodie and Keo from elimination, though, while Nyle waltzed through to the next round.
The actor revealed he is “sexually fluid” last year in an interview with Out magazine.
He celebrated his birthday on Sunday, and shared a photo of himself with his fraternal twin brother.
But it’s clear who was given the looks gene, as Nico DiMarco’s red hair and pale skin leaves him miles behind his tall, dark and handsome brother.
