Marta is a mother of four, and one of them is also profoundly deaf like her. As she says “I’m deaf but not dumb. The word deaf-mute the word has no meaning. All the deaf can hear with cochlear implants or digital hearing aids and have a voice. This marked my life, I fought in silence to learn to communicate with the world around me. This was and still is a challenge, but thanks to my efforts, in the speech therapists, teachers, family and friends, I quite get to talk… no wonder, I talk!!!”.
Marta will tell us about her own struggle to overcome a disability, profound deafness, shared with his children.
