Caipirinha is Brazil’s national cocktail, made with cachaça, sugar and lime. Cachaça, also known as pinga, caninha, or any one of a multitude of traditional names, is Brazil’s most common distilled alcoholic beverage.

Ingredients:

2 oz. cachaça
1/2 lime
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 old-fashioned glass

Directions:

1. Slice the lime into 1/2-inch rounds, cube them, and muddle them in an Old-Fashioned glass or small tumbler with the sugar.
2. Add a couple of ice cubes.
3. Pour in the cachaça.
4. Serve with a stirring rod.

Enjoy your drink!
