You cannot leave Brussels without tasting their world-famous waffles! Seriously, you cannot afford to miss eating that amazing waffle!!!
The Belgian waffle was formerly known as a Brussels waffle and was invented in 1839. It was thicker than other kinds and had deeper pockets.
Belgium is pretty much a sweet-toothed country. They love sweets more than anything. They love chocolate, waffles, biscuits, cookies, and much more.
It is part of their culture that they are to have at least a piece of desserts around 4-5pm in the afternoon with some coffee or tea. —Well! I forgot to have coffee with my waffle! =P
Belgians also likes to have their chocolate to include at least 50-60% of cocoa.
Personally, I don’t like chocolate in general, but I love chocolate that has at least 50% of cocoa. I think I’m going to buy chocolate from Belgium only from now and on! The chocolate I am eating is so strong and smooth. I could taste the richness of the chocolate—very RICH!
Besides, National Waffle Day is on August 24. You all should fly in Belgium for their waffles on National Waffle Day! ;P
