VIDEO DESCRIPTION & TRANSCRIPT: Brothers Zeke and Celso sit side by side facing the camera. NAD logo appears as a light watermark on bottom right corner.

ZEKE: I’m Zeke Martinez.

CELSO: I’m Celso Martinez.

ZEKE: I went to 2016 NAD Conference two years ago as a Jr. NAD page.

CELSO: It was at Arizona and the experience was amazing! Being a Jr. NAD Page had a huge impact on me. Our main responsibility was supporting the delegates during the Council of Representatives by being a runner. We’d do things like getting water or pick up their Starbucks order. I definitely enjoyed myself.

ZEKE: Being a Jr. NAD Page allowed me to work with the delegates, help pass notes, and count the votes. I didn’t miss out on important discussions that involve our deaf community; such as a new priority motion. My firsthand experience was incredible.

CELSO: Honestly, I thought it would be boring at first but it was actually a lot of fun! It was challenging and exhausting which gave me a great learning experience. I got to witness what the NAD Conference was like from the inside. It was truly amazing. I must thank my mom for encouraging me to sign up. I made new friends and we all had a great time. We were also involved in a skit for one of the NAD’s evening programs; that was spontaneous! At the time, I didn’t know other Jr. NAD pages and that helped us work together as a team.

ZEKE: I definitely had a lot of fun with unforgettable memories. I encourage you to sign up for this summer.

CELSO: Yeah, you never know until you sign up!

ZEKE: You won’t regret it.

CELSO: He’s right!
