High school students found a rare bacterium that kills e-coli while conducting a senior research project at Rochester Institute of Technology under the supervision of their mentor André Hudson, head of RIT’s Thomas H. Gosnell School of Life Sciences. Now, the three teenagers are co-authors on a paper that shares the entire genomic sequence of the little-studied organism with the scientific community.
