Wrestling facts about first female high school wrestling state champion;
Transcript:
The Daily Moth just released news focusing on first female wrestler to win high school state championship from North Carolina. Her name is Heaven Fitch. I subscribe to USA wrestling news daily–as wrestling had been in my heavy heart where I wrestled for many years.
The Daily Moth did not check facts first. It did not clear which it was boys or girls sports (wrestling). If girls sports, there are PLENTY of state champions around the country. My high school, a wrestling powerhouse, two weeks ago, there was a girl wrestler who just won third state champion in girls sports–97 wins and 1 loss. The lone loss came from state semifinals in her freshman year in state of Washington.
If Heaven Fitch as the first female wrestler to win in boys sports in the United States. No, it is not true. First female wrestler was from Alaska. Her name is Michaela Hutchison whom won the state wrestling championships in boys sports. It was year 2006. FYI.
