I’m the CEO for GLAD, Greater Los Angeles Agency on Deafness, CODIE, TC-GLAD, B-GLAD, OC DEAF, GLAD-EDD, and LIFESIGNS.
I understand that a lot of us are worried about what is happening with Coronavirus (COVID-19) because none of us know what to expect.
This new virus is spreading world-wide, even here in California, we see new cases emerging.
How are we dealing with this situation?
We are still open for you to see an advocate, job placement specialist, if you need interpreting services, and other services.
Contact your local office, we’re still open.
I hope that all of you will use videophone instead of coming to the office.
Some of you use the bus and don’t know if it is safe to be around other passengers.
Use VP on your cellphone, your friend’s VP, or your home VP.
If you absolutely can’t use VP, you can still come to the office.
We will not prevent you from coming.
Again, we hope you will use VP because we care about our staff’s health too, and want to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to continue to provide services.
