BREAKING NEWS -The City of Milpitas has issued a health order requiring the use of facial coverings as a precaution against the spread of COVID-19!

The order takes effect at 8:00 am on Friday, April 24, 2020, until it is modified or rescinded. Facial coverings are required for employees and customers at essential business such as:

Groceries
Health care facilities
Gas stations
Hardware stores (i.e. Lowes and Home Depot)
Pharmacies

Keep in mind, Milpitas is under Santa Clara County. But only in the City of Milpitas, people are required to wear masks. As for the rest of Santa Clara County, the public is strongly encouraged to wear face coverings.

Facial coverings are NOT required for children under the age of 6.

People should consider cloth facial coverings such as scarves, bandanas or homemade masks to comply with the order.

The police will be actively engaged in educating the public on the importance of facial coverings. However, you may still get administrative citations for not complying with the order.

You can refer to DCARA’s video on making a mask on our website or on any of our social media platforms.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact DCARA via email at info@dcara.org or VP at 510-343-6670.

Thank you.
