What is one word that many people including ASL interpreters are unsure how to sign it or uncomfortable with signing it? Hormones! It’s a common word that people are unsure how to sign it. There are many signs out there that people have been using– with the handshape of ‘H’, but… do they really make any sense? Bethany shows a sign that you can use when you say ‘hormones’. Clarification: This sign does not apply for gender affirming hormones therapy or HRT (hormones replacement therapy). There is a different way to sign hormones in this context.
