Rania: One of the Lifetime Achievement Awards is to recognize the late John P. Mathews. John has been involved in advocating for the deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing communities all of his life. He was one of the authors of the Sesquicentennial History of the Minnesota Academy for the Deaf. John also chaired several communities to seek donations for new auditorium chairs and a cabinet to house historical artifacts. Due to these activities, we are honoring John for his lifetime of achievement.

Jack: Hello! I’m excited to be here at the Mathews’ house to make an announcement. Your father is named as one of the nominates for Lifetime Achievement under the MNCDHH. Congratulations!
