The Family Stone (2005) is a Christmas set movie about a man who brings his conservative girlfriend home for the holidays to meet his liberal family and everyone has to deal with each other and their differences with Meredith, the girlfriend, in the house. One of these family members is a deaf brother named Thad. In this essay, I want to talk about my feelings for the movie, the holiday season, and how I relate with Thad and don’t. My personal experiences, and what I hope to have one day.
